Our Team
Teachers
Brandi Morris
Brandi has pursued cultural and artistic studies throughout her life. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of North Texas and studio art training from Southern Methodist University. Though many of her fondest childhood memories revolve around art classes, theater productions and fine art showcases, it wasn’t until she began homeschooling her own two children that she discovered her passion for art education. For over a decade now, Brandi has taught art to students of all ages in a variety of settings – from private lessons in academy classrooms to plein air painting in backyard gardens.
As a homeschool mom, a guest educator with Northwest ISD and an active member of the Trophy Club Arts and Culture Council, Brandi sees firsthand the positive impact art has on individuals and communities.
She is an advocate for curriculum-based arts programs, recognizing their importance in a child’s overall education and well-being. Her teaching centers around connection which leads students toward greater confidence in themselves and JOY in the learning process.
Zee Johnson
Zee was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised into an artistic family. Her mother has been a full time artist since Zee was about 8 years old and has been surrounded by art all growing up.
She was raised in Fort Worth, Texas, but then went back to New York to pursue a Textile & Surface design Associates degree, and a Fabric Styling Bachelors degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan.
She is now in the process of getting her teaching certification to become a middle school art teacher.
Studio Owner
Scott Geer II
Scott was born, raised, and homeschooled K-12 in DFW. Today, he is a father of 5 and together with his wife they homeschool their children.
He understands the need for private, quality, affordable enrichment programs and is excited to facilitate the availability of a rigorous and extensive art program in his own community.
BK & Anndrea Myles
BK and Anndrea are excited to open an art studio in the DFW metroplex, where they were born, raised, and have reared their family. Although they do not have formal backgrounds in art education, they were drawn to the core values of Children’s Art Classes and the opportunity to enrich the lives of children through art. Their previous experiences have shown them how art enables children of all ages and learning styles to express their feelings, emotions, and thoughts, even when words fail them.
The Myles family includes three beautiful daughters and two handsome grandsons, all of whom are passionate about serving the community. Combined, BK and Anndrea bring over 40 years of experience in education, after-school enrichment programs, and social services for children and teens, with a particular focus on those who have learning differences and disabilities. Entrepreneurs at heart, they have owned and operated several successful small businesses over the years. Their current venture, Children’s Art Classes, is a legacy project that they hope to sustain for generations to come.
